In recent ten years, the college has experienced fast and remarkable growth in various areas of discipline development, teaching and research, teaching facilities and quality. Today it houses one provincial key discipline, one provincial highlight discipline, one doctor program (Sinicization of Maxism), one first-level master program of Maxism Theory, one Social Work master program and other twelve secondary master programs such as Modern and Contemporary History of China, Sociology, Ethics etc, enrolling more than 200 undergraduates, and postgraduates respectively.
Modern teaching and research facilities are accessible to all students and staff: 30,000-book College Library, Computer Lab, multi-media classrooms, Philosophy and Applied Psychology Lab and Social Work Lab etc. And strong academic atmosphere in the college promotes exchanges with well-known universities in China and abroad. Every year, regular or occasional visits of many prominent scholars enrich the college academic life with excelling lectures and seminars. Meanwhile intimate cooperation with many government and non-government organizations inside and outside the province makes it possible for the college to welcome talented volunteer teachers from countries such as Great Britain and the United States.
